After recently observing some of my closest computer associates, I'm starting to think we need new health warnings glued to all of our electronic gizmos. Sure, there are already stickers stuck on about everything we plug into a wall or shove batteries into, cautioning us about the risk of electric shock or potential radiation poisoning, but I have a new kind of health warning in mind. Something along the lines of:

Caution, excessive use may result in self-neglect - medical, mental and hygienic.

It seems that some of us spend so much of our time worrying about the cool gear in our lives like our computers, (when was the last time I defraged my hard drives?) cell phones, (am I burning a memory into my battery?) And PDA's, (do I really need a display screen protector?) That alas the afore mentioned items that were heralded as our productivity saviors have ended up gobbling so much of our time, interests and energy that we tend to forget about our own physical and mental well being. We know we should be more concerned about our health and that of our loved ones. What is one to do?
