How's that for an understatement?

The events which took place in America on 9-11-2001 will not go away. They will carry over into this new year and all those to come. Those of us in this international community who live here in America have come to realize that things have truly changed. It's a different country we now live in. A country and people not as naive as on 9-10 to be sure, but still people continue to love their children, go to Disneyland and overextend their credit cards. Some of us carry on the work a day world tasks of everyday living while others amongst us pioneer the medical and scientific discoveries that will change and reshape the world we all live in. Some Americans are bogged down in a mire of hatred and heartbreak over the recent events, some seek revenge, others mount massive military responses while others still promote worldwide humanitarianism. To our friends scattered around the world who have expressed their concerns... it's still America.

In this year's ending issue we will take a look at a few of the more interesting places on the web heretofore unmentioned within the pages of OpenNote, that we have come across over the past 12 months. We will most certainly not ignore the events of 9-11 nor shall we dwell upon them.
Admittedly no website, clever animation or new computer product can even remotely compare to what happened on that infamous date, but as many a wise man and woman have been saying as of late, "It's time to carry on".
