The Top Links of the Month July:

Somewhere within the slightly off-centered art world, the one you have to tilt your powers of perception a tad to the left in order to properly view you will find California's Laguna Beach art scene. While Laguna Beach is most definitely a vibrant community located on the edge of the pacific ocean, it has for many artists and art lovers over the years been a state of mind as well.

During the '60s and '70s as Haight Ashbury was running wild on the north end of the state in San Francisco the same was happening in that laid-back southern California sort of way, in that microcosm of Ashbury, Laguna Beach.

The free thinking spirits of Laguna roamed the canyons and beaches. They shared the sun, the ocean and the vibe. More importantly they shared the freedom of soul and creativity. Throughout the years the unique Laguna Beach juxtaposition of peoples, talents and ideas have made for a situation from which legends in art are born.

Two of these legends retook center stage when on June 21, 2002 - Dion Wright and Roark Gourley opened the first annual "Laguna Legends" at the [seven-degrees] Gallery in Laguna Beach California...
