New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, 'Saturday Night Live' September 29th, 2001:
"On our city's darkest day, our heroes met the worst of humanity with the
best of humanity. Our hearts are broken, but they are beating, and they are
beating stronger than ever."

To the American public these were reassuring words in an uncertain,
frightening time. Things have changed and will without question never be the
same. The one thing that certainly will not change is the fact that literally thousands of innocent, non military men, women and children were murdered in the city of New York on September the 11th, 2001. This event can not be ignored. If it has not yet, it will soon have a profound effect on the rest of the civilized world. As a result of this act of barbarism the
America government and perhaps more importantly the American people have
declared a "war on terrorism".
This is not the mindset that prevailed in the United States during the Vietnam era or during the gulf war. The amount of support for the US government by its citizens has not seen its equal since the attack on Pearl Harbor. The President of the United States and his
cabinet are constantly stating that this will be a war like no other. This
will undoubtedly be true in more respects than one.
Like no other global conflict in the past, this will be a war of information as well as bullets
and bombs. Freedom loving people all over the world need to be on guard against
the ludicrous actions of the radical few. We must as rational human beings arm ourselves with all of the knowledge and understanding of terrorism that is available to us. We must employ this knowledge in the preservation of ourselves, our love ones and our ways of life.
'World New York' contains the most comprehensive gathering of information concerning the World Trade Center disaster we have been able to locate.
